MAXUS Interstellar L New Generation 2026

The new-generation Interstellar L moves the 2.5T πPlus diesel and 520 Nm into SAIC MAXUS's volume work-pickup body, with a choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic, 2WD or BorgWarner part-time 4WD, and short or long bed on a 3,165 mm or 3,480 mm wheelbase. It reaches 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, tops out at 180 km/h and tows 3,500 kg braked. The seven-cross-member chassis uses an industry-first progressive-rate leaf spring that the manufacturer rates at double the class payload, and a laser-welded one-piece roof over 70% high-strength steel. Fleet and dealer buyers across Africa and Central Asia order it in volume.

N1 category diesel offered in 2WD and 4WD, manual and automatic, on two wheelbases — which means the variant matrix must be fixed on the proforma invoice before the conformity certificate is applied for. Emission calibration is set per destination.
