Fleet, bulk and government tender supply

Fleet buyers are not optimising for specification, they are optimising for uptime and tender compliance. That pushes every decision the same way: simpler suspension, common wear parts across the order, a spare-parts package in the same container, and documentation that survives a procurement audit.

Tier discounts are negotiated per order and confirmed on the proforma invoice — we do not publish the percentages, because destination, Incoterm, steering and colour mix all move the number. Kunta handles every enquiry above five units directly.

Which models are quoted as fleet vehicles?

Most of the catalogue. These are the work bodies and the electric models — the specifications that stay serviceable in a market without deep workshop capability, and that tender schedules are usually written around.

What does a tender package contain?

Whatever the schedule asks for, prepared against your specification document rather than sent as a generic brochure. In practice that means:

  • A technical compliance matrix, line by line against the buyer's specification schedule, with a compliant / partially compliant / non-compliant statement and a note on each deviation.
  • Manufacturer documentation: certificate of conformity template, type approval references, test certificates.
  • Warranty undertaking on headed paper, stating the 3 year / 100,000 km vehicle and 8 year / 200,000 km battery terms and the claims process for export units.
  • After-sales commitment: parts lead times, technician training offer, and the escalation path for a vehicle-off-road situation.
  • Delivery schedule tied to a named build slot, not to a generic lead time.

When does SKD assembly pay?

At roughly twenty units per order, and only where the tariff on an incomplete knocked-down kit is materially below the tariff on a complete built-up vehicle. Below that volume the fixed cost of an assembly line outweighs the duty saving. Get a binding tariff ruling from your customs authority against the specific kit definition before committing capital — a kit that is one step too complete is classified as a complete vehicle and the business case collapses. What does a fleet need besides vehicles?

A parts buffer, a trained technician and — for the electric models — depot charging, in that order. Order the parts package with the first shipment: service items, high-wear components and the model-specific parts a general workshop will not stock ship in the same container at no additional freight cost, and having them on the shelf is the difference between a two-day and a six-week repair.

If the order includes eTerron 9 or T90 EV units, an 11 kW three-phase supply charges either fully overnight and most commercial premises already have it. Load-managed charge points cut the required site capacity by roughly half against unmanaged ones. Depot charging sizing guide →
